Romantic The Club at Garden Ridge Wedding | Amber and Richard

On June 1, 2024, I had the absolute pleasure of planning a magical wedding for Amber and Richard at the beautiful venue, The Club at Garden Ridge. The day was filled with love, personal touches, and unforgettable moments. Let me take you through their incredible celebration.

The Planning

When Amber and Richard reached out to me to talk about planning their 2025 wedding I was excited. Amber and Richard then let me know that had know each other for many years and that in fact they had two kiddos, a little boy and a little girl. From then one a slow but steady relationship began between them and I. We began their planning journey with a budget meeting and allocating expenses based on their priorities and their vision. Once our financial meetings were approved, we moved to design and logistics of the wedding day. I asked Amber what her wedding style and theme was, she answered “I wanted our wedding to look like a fairytale; like something you see in the movies. I felt like such a Disney Princess in my dress.” From then on, I made sure that everything in our design and style reflected a romantic fairytale for them both. Amber and Richard picked the colors gold and white because they are very elegant, and added some greenery to give it a little pop. From florals to linen I made sure that on wedding day their vision had come to life to the smallest detail. Here at Forever Wedding Services we include hand-drawn sketches in our design phase to ensure the planning is going on the right direction and sure enough I knew exactly what Amber wanted. Planning Amber and Richard’s wedding was a blast and an honor. Thank you!

THe Club at Garden Ridge’s Clubhouse

Glamour and Fun

The day began early, with preparations starting at 9 a.m. Georgina with Glam by Geo worked her magic, ensuring that Amber and her closest ladies were picture-perfect. Georgina and her team not only provided the glam, but also the fun! from music to laughter, the clubhouse was a vibe on its own! One of the most thoughtful details of the day was that Georgina stayed after the ceremony for touch-ups, which kept Amber looking flawless throughout the festivities.

I thought it was really awesome that amber and Richard were able to celebrate their wedding day withthier kids. I know Richard getting ready with his son, and Amber with her daughter, was a unique experiences that all four will cherish forever!

By 4 p.m., everyone was dressed and ready for the big day. Amber chose to have a special first look with her entire family and her two children, creating an emotional and heartwarming moment. After that, Amber and Richard shared a private first look and first touch, a sweet, intimate gesture just before the ceremony in the gated garden.

THe Club at Garden Ridge Ceremony

At 6 p.m., the ceremony began, with Amber's brother walking her down the aisle—a beautiful family connection. One of the most unique aspects of the ceremony was the processional song. Amber had heard a song many years ago that deeply moved her, and Lindsay Knight was able to recreate that melody, blending violin and piano. The DJ played the recorded version during the processional, making for a moment that brought Amber’s dream to life.

Words from Amber when asked her about meaningful touches we incorporated into her wedding day: “ The pianist/violinist to play a special song that I have envisioned walking down the aisle to, for over a decade now. It was a song I used to blast on my way home from work after seeing my then, crush. After we began dating, we went to a concert, and after hearing that same song played live, I knew that was the song I would have played at our wedding. What a full circle moment.”

The ceremony itself was officiated by the wonderful Joseph Flores with "All About Me Bride to Be". During the ceremony he added a surprise element by asking the guests to form hearts with their hands as a gesture of their love and support for the couple, a memorable and touching moment.

The ceremony ended beautifully, with the Mariachis Nuevo Estilo serenading the guests as they were escorted to the cocktail hour. This group brought a modern and fresh vibe to traditional mariachi music, giving the day a lively and personal touch.

THe Club at Garden Ridge Reception

Food, Fun, and First Dances

Dinner was served by Got It Covered Catering, and they delighted guests with a Texas BBQ spread featuring brisket, chicken, and sausage with their signature barbecue sauce, paired with Spanish rice and pinto beans. While the guests dined, Amber and Richard enjoyed a private meal in the clubhouse.

As the reception kicked off, DJ Joe and Cinthia from Event Pro DJ Service created an unforgettable atmosphere. They went all out, bringing cold sparks, "dancing on the clouds," uplighting, and a custom monogram that adorned the dance floor. Amber and Richard’s first dance was to "Paper Rings" by Taylor Swift, and with the cold sparks and cloud effects, it was nothing short of magical.

Throughout the night, there were plenty of special moments, including an anniversary dance, bouquet and garter toss, and a lively money dance. Guests were entertained by the fantastic mix of the DJ’s beats.

Stunning Florals and Décor

The floral arrangements were created by the talented Amanda with Rose of Sharon, who crafted personal florals, including bouquets and boutonnieres, gazebo sprays, and breathtaking centerpieces. The floral design was elegant, focusing on greenery, white roses, delicate white blooms, and a touch of baby’s breath for that classic yet modern feel. Half of the centerpieces were candles capes while the other half were the floral arrangements of Amanda. Each table was dressed in an off-white linen, with an organza champagne table runner, and small vintage votives that brought candlelight to the ambiance.

In the reception, we set up a memorial table for those loved ones of Amber and Richard that were not able to attend their big day. We had gorgeous gold frames with their pictures and a sweet sing with a candle. As a guestbook, Amber and Richard opted for a heart-drop in a heart frame.

Sweet Treats and Signature Drinks

The cake, provided by Sam’s Club, was a hit, while Southern Tapsters kept the drinks flowing. Amber’s signature drink was a cherry vodka sour, while Richard's was a vodka cranberry—perfectly refreshing for the summer celebration. As favors to their guests, our couple also brought a “his and hers’ favorite snacks, Hers were Oreos and his sour gummy worms.

A Sparkling Send-Off

While our team was directing the guest outside and lining them up for send-off, Amber and Richard danced one last private dance to take in the entirety of the day. Such a sweet and intimate moment! After an evening of dancing and celebration, the couple had a grand exit through a pathway of sparklers, where they were whisked away in a white BMW convertible. It was the perfect ending to a perfect day.

Capturing the Magic

The entire day was beautifully captured by Timeless Tree Weddings, ensuring Amber and Richard will have memories to cherish for a lifetime. From the candid moments to the carefully staged shots, their work perfectly reflected the emotion and joy of the day.

Amber and Richard’s wedding was a celebration full of love, personal touches, and a little bit of Texas flair. From the surprise ceremony elements to the sparkling send-off, every moment was filled with emotion, beauty, and joy. It was an honor to plan and bring their dream wedding to life at The Club at Garden Ridge.
